I was ten at the time and lived in what was then 'West Pakistan' . As a Bengali there i know how much they despised my people. Coming back to to a liberated Bangladesh, one could see the palpable results of their hatred. I believe Pakistani arrogance and belief in their superiority will be their downfall - they can't see a bloodthirsty Godless monster lurking in their own backyard that may turn on them one day- the Pakistani Army. 1971’s horror is hardwired in my brain too.
